GrowFX is a plug-in for Autodesk 3ds Max, allowing you to build plants and other objects, which grow in various directions.
GrowFX works in 3ds Max 9, 2008, 2009 (32/64-bits) and 3ds Max Design 2009 (32/64-bits).
Features:
-Creating grass or woodland
One
GrowFX object allows the user to create multiple plants of the same sort. This can be done by corresponding distribution either by starting points, or on the surface of an object. When plants are created by distribution on the surface, the values of some parameters can be controlled by texture maps. For example, texture maps can control density of plants, their growth and other parameters.
-Creating ivy
The direction modifier labeled Object reaction direction will let you create any ivy plant by using the path reaction (Reflection / Magnetic) on the other objects of the scene. Additionally, you can use "Reflection" to create plants twining around different objects, or plants, placed into enclosed space.
-Creating shearing plants
The direction modifier named Object slice direction will let you create clipped plants of different shapes. In doing so, you can use standard shapes from the Exlevel category of objects, including plane, Box, sphere, as well as use the shape of any Geometric object of the scene.
What's new in
GrowFX 1.4.0
New direction modifier: Spline direction. The modifier allows the user to set the direction of a path along a spline. Moreover, this Algorithm can be used to make smooth interpolation Between splines. For example, low branches may have one shape while upper ones have another;
